A safe school is a place where learning can occur in a welcoming environment free of environmental hazards, threats or intimidation, and bullying. Taft City is dedicated to providing a safe environment for children so they can focus on learning and growing. We are committed to the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors within the School District.

Professional development and collaborative partnerships are necessary to the success of the safety plan and emergency management efforts, including prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery procedures relevant to potential natural and human-caused crises.

Taft City School District Safety Committee meets annually to review and update the Comprehensive Schools Safety Plan. The Comprehensive Schools Safety Plan is approved annually in February by the Board of Education. To ensure safety, the Comprehensive Schools Safety Plan is not available to the public.
