Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Taft City School District has an exceptional educational program where all students have the opportunity to thrive. Our highly qualified staff provides a well-rounded education for all students. We strive to increase student attendance, accelerate student learning, and strengthen relationships with parents and our community. We believe parent and community involvement helps extend teaching outside the classroom, creates positive experiences for students and as a result students perform better in school. Years of research and practice show that when families and educators partner to support learning and development, students are more likely to have better attendance, succeed in school, graduate on time, and stay on their path to college or a career. No matter what their income or background, students with involved families tend to have higher grades and test scores, and better attendance. Parents and teachers have the same goal of student success!

As the Superintendent of Taft City School District, it is my goal to maintain and grow a rigorous educational environment that allows all students to feel a sense of belonging and to grow academically. It is critical that our Taft City School District students graduate with the skills necessary to pursue and achieve their lifelong dreams and to be lifelong learners. Educating our youth and preparing them for their futures is the most important mission we have as educators. Taft City School District is a great place for students and staff. We strive for continuous improvement, and we are eager to make a difference in the lives of our students.
